Many companies takes advantage of the demand of this crisis. Just thing of a company producing IPA in this time.
Jameson is one distiller that has switched over to making IPA and sanitizer. I've always said let private industry take the reigns and you will have a : Better - Cheaper - Faster -More reliable answer to the problem.

because the speed will result in a faster profit.. and higher bottom line with product quality at the forefront.

Mind you, there will ALWAYS be the shysters out there selling "test kits" for half the price but don't work, but my faith in MOST of mankind makes me believe those will be few and far between.

After seeing reports of how many private sector companies switching over their production lines. Restaurants serving rescue workers 3 hot meals a day and not charging, the 8 yr old girl that had been saving her whole life, giving to her hospital to buy toys for sick kids, I just see more hope and promise in the 'everyday person'.

    We shall see

There is talk that this Corona Virus pandemic will accelerate the office imaging industry five years into the future, not in a good way for printed page volumes.

People may not quickly come back to their shared office workspace when they learn that they can work effectively from home and in an exclusively digital world.

More and more of our customers are going to realize that they do not need to accomplish tasks the same old way they have done it before.

When people learn a new way of accomplishing their tasks, they very rarely go back to the old way.

The new work from home attitude will expedite that 24/7 gig economy.

    Gig Economy Definition

In a gig economy, temporary, flexible jobs are commonplace and companies tend toward hiring independent contractors and freelancers instead of full-time employees. A gig economy undermines the traditional economy of full-time workers who rarely change positions and instead focus on a lifetime career.

I remember when the medical system went to their "paper less" medical records. Paper consumption at large hospital actually increased initially. Doctors and other medical professionals were used to having the patient's record jacket in hand when they made patient visits. They would sit down at a terminal at the nursing station and print the records for the patient they were going to see. They would make notes on the print out while visiting the patient and then key those notes into the system after they got back to the terminal. They would then throw the printed page into the shred bin.

Not when you consider the work sheets, in class handouts and take home handouts that are required to be used in K through 8.

The California University system, both UC and SCU, are allowing both faculty and staff to order accessories such as mice and keyboards up to and including monitors needed to work from home without having to submit through their campus IT department. Computers, mobile devices and printers are not included. Some devices such as monitors have to be from approved manufacturers.

Some of these inkjets have become too cheap to use.
Can make $30 on a strip and clean service but not my idea of fun.
I have seen low end inkjets where it was less expensive to buy another printer than to buy a set of cartridges.

Both Canon and Epson Has a product that runs cheaper than laser on consumables. Use OEM refills and large ink tanks.
    Apologies for sidetracking.

England on "lock down", public gatherings of more that two people banned, probably due to the idiots that ignored the isolation recommendations on Sunday because "it was a nice day"

When you think you have made a procedure idiot proof your company employs a better idiot.
