Typical issue where the customer decided that the flag on top of the waste toner bottle looked unsightly and binned it before fitting the new bottle.
Waste auger backed up...pcdu all backed up....itb had ridden off to the rear etc etc.
Replaced the waste auger assy, new bottle and pcdu,ITB assy,PTR assy.
It started throwing the SC442 right from the start.
Swapped in a used ITB assy and started throwing SC370-02.
Removed the density sensor shutter(Slim's idea from a previous post) and now we're back to SC442.
I've searched the forums and found threads very similar to mine but the O.P usually just says " it was a blocked PCDU".
Well...I have half a dozen off contract 4503 and have been swapping bit in and out with no joy.
Even got desperate and fitted a drive assy...so you KNOW how desperate things are.
I've tried new IPU,IOB,power supply...lift motor...lift sensor you name it.
    Any ideas?
Sc442 we had some of the brackets that holds the lift gear on rear frame bend have a look

    Re: sc442/sc370-02 MPC4503

    Thanks for the suggestions guys.
Somebody mentioned the toner bottle cover being misaligned and causing an issue with the seating of the ITB.
I checked that cover and it's certainly not sitting right...even though the locating pins for ITB look ok.
The front door switch is being a dick and it's for sure the fact that the cover isn't quite right.
I'll have at it today and let you know what I find.
    UPDATE:
It was in fact the front toner cover cover not being seated correctly over the shoulder of the locating shaft for the ITB assy.
A trap for young players and tired old techs like me..!!!
    Thanks for the help.

The fault is not so much grinding but that you can hear the lift motor cycle 4 times and then it throws the sc442.
Have you run an input check on this sensor?
