    Exclamation TASKalfa 2553ci "Error C4600"

    Good Morning all.

I have a problem on the following Kyocera TASKalfa 2553ci/ Iris 3.

Client replaced the (K) Toner and the following error code appeared "C2810" Waste Toner motor. After client reset machine Error code "C4600" appeared.

So We have updated Firmware, Replaced LK-Unit, FFC Cable and Power supply. Same error code. I have taken the Engine PWB and tested it on a working machine and no error codes.

    Any Ideas?

    Kind Regards

    Re: TASKalfa 2553ci "Error C4600"

Have had several Iris II with broken LSU units.
After exchange from LK-8350/ 302L793111 the problem would solved.
    By the way:
At the moment there is the possibilty to get electrical noise on engine asic coming from LSU unit during startup/ running automatically calibration...
    Still under investigation at KDC.
    [Additional investigation to Iris 1/ 2ND-0161 (K093)]

    Re: TASKalfa 2553ci "Error C4600"

At first we must repeat the complete history.
    1.
Endcustomer replaced K toner (empty cartridge usable for waste!!)
    2.
C2810 appeared (maybe endcustomer mounted new K toner to waste box and waste toner drive would blocked?)
    3.
after restart C4600 (electric noise on engine ASIC and system reached the 1000 cycle for running laser cleaning)

Waste motor + LSU cleaning motor are connected to YC27 from engine pwb.
    YC27.JPG

    Let`s try the following:
Enter 10871087/ U474 and set cycle to "0".
Restart the system after you unplugged the power plug from the walloutlet for 1-2 minutes.
    What happens?
Check weight from waste box <800g?

    Re: TASKalfa 2553ci "Error C4600"

    Thanks.

I have done the exact thing as per "Threat". Same result.

I have stripped the Toner hopper and cleaned is out. I could not see any foreign object in the hopper. I'm going to strip the Waste toner unit next and also change the Waste Toner motor.

I have tested the cable (YC27)

    Kind Regards

Wink Re: TASKalfa 2553ci "Error C4600"

    Ok. Found the fault.

The fault was the following "Motor" PARTS DC MOTOR ASSY B SP.

I ran Sim 964 to send to Europe to asses. After switching the machine off and on Error Code C2810 appeared again. (The first error code). I swapped motors and no errors.

    Thanks for those that assisted.

Awesome! Where is this motor located? Is it the motor that drives the laser scanner cleaners? I haven't had the pleasure of tearing a 2 or 3 series down to the LSU yet, but the older models would get C4600 errors because of the motor driving the cleaning mechanism.

    Thanks!
