mpc3002 L.E. registration ADF for rear side

The serv manual says this about it:

    sp 6006 - 003 Leading Edge Registration
Adjusts the amount of paper buckle to correct original skew for the front and rear sides.

Yes, it is possible to adjust the L.E. registr. for the front, but not the rear, although the manual says (see above) "for the front an rear sides"...
It is now 0.7 and L.E. front is ok, but rear i can not seem to adjust.

    Anyone has seen this before?
    Firmware is up to date.
    DF counter is 16K.
    Thanks you for helping.

it's not because the adjustment itself shifts the entire image, check in the birth certificate, there should also be a margin adjustment in copy mode in the user tools.

If I remember correctly, adf trail edge registration can be adjusted by changing SP 6017 DF Magnification Adjustment.

You are correct Slim. That takes care of the edge that they are seeing. I forget if it was -0.9 or +0.9 that did the trick. It's weird, but that does take care of second side issue.

Re: mpc3002 L.E. registration ADF for rear side

Thank you for your help, but the problem is not a visible line at the rear of the paper (that can be solved by increasing the value of magnification sp6017) but the entire image that moves towards the L.E. of the paper travel. There is a L.E. adjustment SP for the recto, but not a working one for the verso side.
6006-11 makes no difference, whatever the value is. I tried with user tools, margin back verso, no good.

I want to upgrade the ADF firmware, but it failed via "my-ricoh".
I haven't access yet for octopus, it would be nice if someone please provide us with the latest ADF firmware for c3003.
D5785300B is the actual firmware in this machine.
Is it far out of date?
    Thank you in advance.

Not sure Sir but have you try to play values in Copier Features Edit tabs.
fix the customer first then fix the machine... its simple and makes life more easy.

    Yes, i did.
Both in user or SP mode, no matter what value it does not affect the rear registration.

Ok. Have you tried going back to basics. Using the trimming pattern to check paper travel front and back. Maybe your duplex paper travel is the culprit. Then check your leading edges off the platen, finally check through the feeder. I was also going to suggest the usertools, copier, edit to set defaults to zero for shifts.

In the past, I've had some weird issues with voids and leading edges. For some reason, you turn off the voids, you could move the leading edge. Might be pulling at straws, but worth a try.

I know that there is an adjustment for the trail edge on some models because I have done them. They were a pain because you had to increase/decrease by 10 in order to move the trail edge 1mm.

What I found best was to first set all trays to the glass and run a few copies to make sure it didn't drift. Default buckle on many machines now is -1 which can cause drift. Next set ADF single side to single side registration. Now bearing in mind that the in duplex page 1 is printed second, adjust the duplex unit registration SP 1001-013/014/015 depending on paper weight. Finally fine tune ADF duplex front and rear buckle SP 6006-005 Buckle: Duplex Front and SP 6006-006 Buckle: Duplex Rear. I hope this helps.
