Biden Boasts Following Osama Bin Laden to the ‘Gates of Hell’ Despite Opposing Raid to Kill Him

President Joe Biden boasted about following Al Qaeda terrorist leader Osama bin Laden to the “gates of hell” during his first address to a joint session of Congress, despite having opposed the mission to kill or capture bin Laden when he was vice president.

    During the address, Biden said:

We said we would follow Osama bin Laden to the gates of hell to do it. If you’ve been to the upper Kunar Valley, you’ve kind of seen the gates of hell. And we delivered justice to bin Laden. We degraded the terrorist threat of al Qaeda in Afghanistan.

Biden did not mention he had actually opposed the 2011 Navy SEAL raid to kill or capture bin Laden at the time.

Former President Barack Obama wrote in his memoir A Promised Land that Biden “weighed in against the raid.”

Obama wrote, according to a summary by the Guardian, Biden was concerned about “the enormous consequences of failure” and counseled that the president “should defer any decision until the intelligence community was more certain that bin Laden was in the compound.”

The operation ended up being successful in killing Bin Laden, who masterminded the 9/11 terrorist attacks killing thousands of Americans on United States soil.

Obama also recalled that after the mission was successful, Biden put his hand on his shoulder and squeezed, saying, “Congratulations, boss.”

Biden himself admitted in 2012 to telling Obama not to conduct the raid, saying “My suggestion is don’t go.”

However, since then, Biden has taken a more blustery tone.

Biden said in April: “I said, among — with others, we’d follow Osama bin Laden to the gates of hell if need be. That’s exactly what we did, and we got him.”

As Breitbart News’s Joel Pollak reported then, the “gates of hell” line actually came from the late-Sen. John McCain (R-AZ).

pretty bad when politico and CNN fact checkers said the speech was filled with lies.... but the liberals swear it was all truthful.

Unfortunately the USA is full of low information voters. Most don't understand the constitution...much less the voting record of Joe Biden. All they know is Facebook, twitter and other liberal news sources. That's one reason we're in this mess.

Good for Florida... bad for those trying to cheat.

Florida Passes New Elections Bill Adding Restrictions to Vote-by-Mail and Ballot Drop Boxes

Florida’s Republican-controlled Senate on April 29 passed a new bill that places several restrictions around vote-by-mail and ballot drop boxes.
The bill, SB 90 (pdf), was passed in the state House 77-40 and in the Senate 23-17. It now goes to Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis, who is expected to sign it.

If signed, it would require signature verification for voters, provided by a “wet signature” physically signed on paper kept on file, and access to drop boxes would be limited to early voting hours unless they are located at election supervisors’ offices. Drop boxes would also have to be monitored in-person by an elections official, and ID would be required when dropping off ballots.
Other aspects in the bill include limitations on who can return a finished mail-in ballot, preventing election officials from entering consent agreements, and requiring voters to request a mail ballot every election cycle, rather than every two, as under current law.
The legislation would also ban anyone from “engaging in any activity with the intent to influence or effect of influencing a voter” but allow election supervisors to provide “non-partisan assistance,” such as giving items, including food and water, to voters within the restricted zones.
The bill also requires supervisors to set and publish drop box locations 30 days before the election. Those locations cannot be moved for any purpose.

SB 90 was amended from a previous stricter version which had originally banned drop boxes completely.
DeSantis has previously expressed his support for enacting stronger election integrity protections and providing unprecedented election transparency for Florida residents.

A spokesperson for Gov. Ron DeSantis said he supports the bill, noting it “will ensure that Florida remains a national leader in election security, integrity and transparency,” ABC News reported.
Democrats, including state Rep. Anna Eskamani, responded to the Senate’s decision on Thursday, calling it a “Georgia-style voter suppression bill” on Twitter.
“It makes it harder to vote by mail, prohibits groups from passing out water to voters and tries to limit ballot boxes. I’m sad but proud of the Democratic Caucus for fighting so hard. Keep fighting,” Eskamani wrote.
Earlier this month, the state of Georgia passed more stringent voting laws which elicited widespread condemnation from Democrats, including President Joe Biden who branded it “Jim Crow in the 21st Century” and “an atrocity.”

The new law adds a host of new voting restrictions, including photo identification requirements for absentee voting, limits on the use of ballot drop boxes, and making it illegal to take food or water to voters in line. It also gives state lawmakers more control over elections.
Other states with GOP-controlled legislatures such as Arizona are also looking at making changes to their mail-in voting systems.

Don't know they they are surprised, the democrats have been back stabbing blacks for as long as I can remember!

Black Leadership Group: ‘Biden Used Black Americans To Ascend To The White House, But Has Basically Turned His Back On Them’

A black leadership group slammed President Biden after his State of the Union address Wednesday night, with one member stating, “Joe Biden used black Americans to ascend to the White House, but has basically turned his back on them.”
Members of Project 21 — a 25-year-old group that is an “initiative of The National Center for Public Policy Research to promote the views of African-Americans whose entrepreneurial spirit, dedication to family and commitment to individual responsibility have not traditionally been echoed by the nation’s civil rights establishment,” as their website states — issued a press release Wednesday lashing out at Biden.

Project 21 Co-Chairman Stacy Washington stated, “The policy needs of black Americans always come last with liberals – regardless of the high percentage of blacks who support them. President Biden claimed his administration is on track to cut child poverty in half, but failed to cite any metrics or data to support that claim. Thirty percent of black kids live in poverty. There are over 97,000 black children in foster care. In less than 100 days, the Biden Administration has admitted over 20,000 migrant children into the country, putting their needs ahead of those of black children. What are your plans for American children, Mr. President? Black Americans want to know.”
Project 21 member Marie Fischer echoed, “Joe Biden used black Americans to ascend to the White House, but has basically turned his back on them. The examples are epic. By allowing biological boys to compete in women’s sports, he will cause girls – especially black girls – to lose out on college scholarships that could help them attain a better life. Then there’s amnesty for millions of illegal aliens. Studies like one from the National Bureau of Economic Research have shown that, as illegal immigration increases, jobs become increasingly scarce for black Americans while incarceration rates rise. A $15 minimum wage will similarly decrease employment opportunities for black youth. Biden got into office with the typical bait-and-switch that the left always uses on black America.”
“A hundred days of divisiveness have hurt the black community, with damaging policies bringing more harm than help,” asserted Project 21 member Martin Baker. “For example, while every other ethnic group has seen their unemployment numbers diminish, blacks have seen theirs rise since Biden entered office. A recent H&R Block survey of black-owned businesses revealed more than half have suffered from a 50% loss of revenue during this pandemic — yet Biden and his allies champion a higher minimum wage that would make the outlook even more bleak. These are not actions that benefit our community.”

Ratings For Biden’s Address To Congress Are In, And They’re Horrendous

President Joe Biden’s ratings for his first address to a joint session of Congress are stunningly low.
The 78-year-old drew a dismal 22.6 million viewers across seven major networks, according to a report from Deadline, citing networks’ “near final” numbers.

The outlet emphasized that the low ratings come out to a 47% drop relative to former President Donald Trump’s first joint session address:
Joe Biden’s first address to a joint session of Congress drew 22.6 million viewers across seven major networks. That’s a drop of 47% from 43 million or so who tuned in to Donald Trump’s first speech to a joint session, on February. 28, 2017, across those seven networks.
Deadline further outlined the breakdown across the major networks:

According to fast national numbers from Nielsen, ABC topped coverage with 4.03 million, followed by MSNBC with 3.94 million, NBC with 3.54 million, CBS with 3.37 million, CNN with 3.18 million, Fox News with 2.92 million and Fox with 1.63 million.
Poor ratings were somewhat expected, even by those on the Left. CNN media critic Brian Stelter, for example, did his best Tuesday to tamp down viewership expectations for Biden’s address, modestly predicting that somewhere around 30 million views would be “realistic” for POTUS, citing “TV ratings erosion.”
Biden, it seems, was 7.4 million shy of the lowball estimate from the left-wing critic.

Here’s what Stelter wrote Tuesday, emphasis added:
I’m the type of news consumer who’s home on the couch for every State of the Union. But it’s helpful to remember that I’m not the norm. (I’m guessing you are not the norm, either!) Trump’s State of the Union averaged 37 million viewers across 12 TV networks last year, which means most American adults heard the speech later, in bits and pieces, or didn’t hear about it at all. Technically Biden’s speech is an address to a joint session, since it’s his first year as president, so here are this century’s ratings comps: About 48 million viewers for Trump in 2017, 52 million for Barack Obama in 2009, and 40 million for George W. Bush in 2001. Recent TV ratings erosion might make 30 million a more realistic barometer for Biden’s address…
The president’s speech also fared poorly online.

Aside from generally low video views, left-leaning news stations and outlets that streamed the speech, like USAToday, NBC News, CBS News, CNBC News, and CNN all had “thumbs down” reactions outnumbering “thumbs up” reactions.
One of the only major news stations to have approving reactions outnumbering disapproving reactions was ABC News — which seems to track with TV ratings, too.
Here are some of the online lowlights for Biden, reported by The Daily Wire on Thursday morning:
USAToday’s stream of the speech as of Thursday morning amassed 36,872 views, only 584 approving reactions and 2,600 disapproving reactions.
NBC News’ video had 27,789 views by Thursday morning. The video also totaled more negative reactions than positive, 695 to 1,500, respectively.
CBS News fared better in views, totally 187,657 views by Thursday morning. But the station still amassed more negative reactions, 3,200, than positive reactions, 2,900.
The CNBC News video totaled 76,079 views by Thursday morning, with more than three times as many negative reactions than positive, 5,500 to 1,800.
CNN neared almost 200,000 views, but, again, was bested with negative reactions, 7,500 to 5,100.
The White House has two videos of the speech on their YouTube account. Both videos have the comment sections disabled, which is the norm for the Biden White House. The … reactions on both videos, too, have more negative reactions than positive.

Just like his speech Biden is a low interest politician ....
