Did you perform the procedures listed in tech bulletin 30 as MGA suggested? It specifically addresses this issue.

    Sorry, forgotten to mention.
    Yes i did, no good.
Just 5 minutes ago a customer complained (again) for smear.
I have refurbished the F.U. with a new sleeve and new PR.
    No good!
    Firmware is up to date.
Medium thick seems to be the only solution so far.
Do you encounter the same problem?

Can you go into service mode and find the fuser settings for the different types of paper? Just take the settings for medium thick and apply them to plain paper.

We also have this every now and then - some sorts of paper/enviroments aren't running well without a little "temp boost". I think normal paper setting is used to a maximum of 81g/m2 - not much of a margin there to compensate for poor paper. If the customer is using color copy paper 90g/m2 you shuld set it on medium anyways

These settings i have put in plain paper. Although it is better, it is no solution. Notice that M-thick FC center is going to low speed; how should i set that up???
So, "Medium thick" seems to be the only solution. I do not understand why Ricoh don't take any steps. And i do not understand why i'm the only one that seems to have this problem?
