    Ricoh MPC3003 Copy Problem

    Hi
I have a ricoh mpc3003 with an amazing problem. When i print a counter the counter perfect with vivid black.
But when i make a copy of it, its faded grey. I replaced transfer belt, Fuser, drum and also cleaned the mirrors inside the scanner.
Anyone having an idea of what to do next..?

    Thanks in advance

if you have clean well all mirror and glass, run a calibration routine from user tools, check if the client dont have changed default settings in copy application, you can reset this from sp-801-copy application (only copy!!!)

OEM Toner ? Did you change developer section along with drum ? Did you perform maintenance in user tools (prints and scan adjustments) Do prints, from computer, print solid ?
Was this your original problem or did this occur after replacing a component ?

This is either an image creation issue (drum, dev, charge etc) or a copy (scan) problem.

If you are printing and its perfect, and issue only occurs on copying then the problem is with your scanner, surely?

They use all the same components and the perfect print indicates the mechanics and electronics on printing is fine.

Scanning will always be lighter than the original. You can do calibrations on the device to improve quality, there are also some settings that can be changed.

Do you find that if you scan and then print the scanned image it is also a grey rather than a black?

Clean the entire optics again properly. Why replace fuser and transfer belt?

try to update the firmware, and immediately after re-run calibration, anyway could be also the leaky reading sensor...its happen

you can try also sp801 scanner, and after copy (not engine, or clear all!!!) keep address book, etc, backup first
