Ricoh MPC6003 - hight pitched noise

    Hi guys,

got a MPC6003 with a high pitched noise which is sounding like its from the fuser,

when i turn the machine on its does the noise, then goes after 20-30 seconds in till a print job is started then happens again.

we have just changed the heating sleeve + heating element with the oil on the fuser as was torn.

is there anyway to attach a video as i do have a recording.

Follow the PM counter, you will probably also have the finished pressure roller

When the black pcdu goes overlife on the 03/04 range you will hear a high pitched squeal.
I've heard it so many times that I can pick it as soon as I walk into a business...even if the customer isn't complaining about it.
    Check the PM counter list.

Usually caused by excessive wear of the lubrication bar.

I have seen the ITB assembly squeal like an absolute banshee on these copiers. The plastic rollers in the exit unit as well are known squeakers. If you dont find the fuser or one of the pcu's to be the cause, check those out.

It would be great if you could provide us with a recording of the sound and some more precise indication of where you think the noise is generated.

Re: Ricoh MPC6003 - hight pitched noise

high pitch noise can also come from the drum units if they are getting old and there's not enough lubrication/toner on the blades or the blade's rubber.-compound become too hard.

...OK I just notice this has been already suggested, we'll I second on that^^
