    Private Message/Notifications Issue

I'm not sure where to post this issue, I have tried the Contact Us section of the website and I have not received a response.

I cannot send private messages due to the system thinking that I have 65k messages stored in my account. I do NOT have ANY messages stored anywhere. Is there someone who can assist with this issue?

If this is not the appropriate avenue, can someone direct me to a person, or web admin to fix the problem?

    Thank you!

Good news is you're not the only one.
Bad news is afaik this is forum glitch...
A tree is known by its fruit, a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost, he who sows courtesy, reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.

I don't reply to private messages from end users.

Fair enough, I did read through a previous post in this section referring to the same problem AFTER posting my question... LOL

You did exactly the right thing. Posting here will get the attention of Aneurysm. I'm sure that it will be straightened out shortly. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

While you are waiting for the administrator to login, what do you see when you click on Private Messages? In Inbox do you see any messages listed? If you do there should be a check box at the top right. If you do, click it to place a check mark in it which will select everything in the Inbox. You should then have an option at the bottom for Selected Messages and then select Delete as the action you want to do with the selected messages then click Proceed. Do the same thing for Sent Massages. Once you are able to clear one of the folders, Folder Control for that folder only might show that you messages in some other folder and then an option to (Empty Folder)? If so, click it and see if the problem is cleared.

There's something magical about the number 65,535. It's the binary number "1111111111111111".

It's come up before, when I had an issue with a copy count collecting software. Each time I initiated the program to collect copy counts it generated 65,535 corrupt print jobs for each printer. Our IT department was somewhat unhappy with me.

I am familiar with 65,535. 65,535 is 216-1 and is often used in unsigned binary for -1. Back when we occasionally had to manually enter HDD parameters on PCs. It was what had to be entered for the landing zone when the actual track was -1.

I have also seen it as a register over flow indication such as with Ricoh color models on the toner level memory with a bad RFID chip or board
