Bizhub c280 transfer belt advice please

One of my clients has a C280 that has just popped up with a transfer belt needs replacing soon warning.
Roughly how many prints before it hits the life stop?
Can the belt be changed with generic stuff or is a complete unit the best idea (£250+).
Not sure if the ITB has been reset before or not.

Not sure how long but it's a good while. But it can be set to not stop if not set that way already.

There are 2 options, replace just the fuse to reset (or "new release" in service mode, not sure if this model had it yet) or rebuild with aftermarket kit (belt, cl bld & fuse if used)

I've had good results with both options and saved a lot of money while customer saved a lot. If contract customer I would just reset, if charge customer sell them rebuilt.

Actually 3 options if you want to include a new OEM belt.

Contract customer; provided the prints are OK, reset by doing "New Release".
For others we get after market belt. If you get the complete belt unit, not only the belt + cleaning blade, you better remove all paper separator fingers. Had once a brandnew after market belt that crashed cause the finger in the middle plowed through the belt.

Thanks for the advice, this is not a contract customer and I think this unit may have been reset before.
Can anyone suggest a good source for the rebuuild kit or the parts
    (belt, cl bld & fuse)?

Olivetti A0EDR71600 is the original ITB
I think I can see just the belt on Ebay for £150 outside of the UK.
Can't find ITB for sensible money, genuine Olivetti/KM or generic.

If it's not a contract customer they pay ultimately, with a markup. Why worry?

Why not wait until it fails? Sounds like your trying to save them money by only rebuilding.

It's not always about saving the customer $$$ but there is much more profit for the company selling them the rebuilt belt. It's a win-win customer saves money and you make a nice profit. Everyone's happy. There isn't much room to make $$ with OEM.

By the way I never use aftermarket toner or developer in ANY color copier or printer no matter how much $$ it will save. I do use aftermarket toner in B&W copiers & printers.

Yes I'd like to save them a bit of money and make a profit, there's nothing in it for me if I buy the OEM unit really. In that case I would do a reset and wait till it fails.
However, if you have any suggestions for where to get a rebuild kit or the parts, please comment below, thanks.

Hello again. Good news is the copier is still working.
I've been on site today for another issue and with closer inspection it seems that the unit actually reporting that the transfer roller needs replacing soon.
Looking at the life limit section below, I can see that most of the black consumables have already been reset.
I'm going to look for a new developer, because I have a faint print out that I'm sure is down to the developer unit. Everything else I will leave alone until more issues arise I think. Is the reset procedure for the roller the same as for the transfer belt? Will the roller cause a print stop?

Looking at those life counts not sure why you need to replace or reset anything? Also unless you or someone already reset the consumables you shouldn't be getting a faint print with those counts.

Makes it harder to troubleshoot when life counters have been reset, unless you keep good track of what you reset and write in machine log (the log I always forget to fill out for the last 40 yrs!)

You can reset the transfer roller message in service mode, life, "clear" count.
