    Magicolor 8650 NVRAM ISSUE

    Hello there, i've got one Magicolor 8650 with bad NVRAM, i've tried to get a new one from KONICA MINOLTA, but here in Brazil, their support for the print solutions is very poor, i've sent lots of mail without any answer, have called the business solutions but they can't help with anything.

    So, i've bought a ENTIRE Board (Including the NVRAM) from Bizhub C353, that is the same board, and installed it on Magicolor 8650, then the machine started up, but with just one trouble... the machine that the board came from, has a Hard Disk, so the machine doesn't start completely because of the missing Hard disk, at this point I tried to put an ordinary hard disk, but the machine seems not recognize the hard disk. (I've also tried the NVRAM SWAP from one board to another, and the Magicolor 8650 NVRAM is really faulty, with this NVRAM the machine stucks on the hourglass)

    Next step, remove the hard disk from the configuration; when i tried to access the service menu, it has a password; (On bizhub C353 it doesn't it is Stop 0 0 Stop 0 1) but on magicolor 8650 or Bizhub C353P there is no numeric panel, so, i've tried the common passwords (92729272, 12345678, 00000000, 87654321) but no sucess...


    I'm afraid to pull the NVRAM batery, and mess with it, because the board came from the U.S.A. and i'm on Brazil, it was very expensive an took a lot of time.


    does anybody have any Ideas to help me?

      Hey there, does anybody have any idea about this trouble?

      I have a Bizhub C353 NVRAM on the machine, got one hard disk, and the machine asks to format the hard disk, cannot enter on the Service mode nor on the Admin mode, no default passwords; i have reseted the new NVRAM and it still asking for a password to enter on the service mode....

      what if i write the Magicolor Firmware on the machine again? does it go to the NVRAM? i'm about to do that. does anybody have the correct order of the firmwares to write on the machine?

      remembering that here on Brazil there's no Authorized Resseler or Service provider for the Printing Solutions, i used to work on the one that was the authorized, but it's no more... and no one in Konica Minolta Busines Solutions can help me.

              Yes, i know, is the Same board from bizhub C203, C253 anda C353;

              Actualy i've tested all sorts of known passwords like 12345678, 92729272, admin, 00000000, and many others defauts passwords...
