72-23 jam on legal and LTRR(4e series)

Jams exiting the finisher in the upper tray. LTR runs fine. I can adjust the springs for the idler rollers and make it work but it seems like there should be a better way. I have had to modify several finishers for this issue. Anybody else have a better fix?

I have exactly the same problem: Jam 72-23 top finisher output only A4R paper! (A4 works fine!).
Does anyone have a solution? Thank you...
