Looking through the book I saw there were only two mechanical adjustments.
I should be able to do this, but...

I was checking the height, the back was up and the front down. Adjust the screw CCW and I could
feel with a single sheet of paper that it was coming down but I still had more pressure
on the front. So I turned the left rear screw some more and did the same for the right rear screw
and there was no real change. Turned the left rear screw some more and it came out. I put it back in.
I must be missing some thing here. I adjusted the screw for skew on the right rear for the best copy but
it is still skewed a few mm's out of spec.
I am going back today or tomorrow to start over.
I'm getting a handle on the hot calls that have been challenging me.
So may be I can focus more on this one before it gets to hot.
Also I'm getting some intermittent jams from the paper feed. I will need to get more
info on this problem. The paper stops just before the trans fer roller. The other day
I replaced the rear arm on the transfer roller. This helped a lot but did not completely solve
the problem.

Thanks for your help

Have you run the service mode adjustments. Sometimes they will help.

copier addict,
Nope, but after glancing at them I can see that they may very well help.
But how will it get the back left corner of the feeder closer to the glass?
Or may be it doesn't have to be perfect just within a couple of .001 inches?
I will see this machine again next week. I'll have a closer look at this problem.
Thanks for bring that to my attention, sometimes I over look the obvious.
I hate when I do that!

Make the DF as level as possible and then run the service mode adjustments. In the installation manual it explains how to level the DF.
