making copies off the glass is fine.. making copies from the doc feeder the copies are really dark
I went into users choice and made the adjustment for density adf there are 2 options there
then I went into tech rep and turned down the density just for grins.. but was curious If
there was a setting or something someone knew about.. again this is just for the doc feed
platen is fine. thanks

That setting is to force gradation failure in a way it lifts the density of the lower end up. Normally the DF copies are to light.
Try to replace the developer, it could be overtoned.

Those machines are getting really old!

There is a grid voltage adjustment in tech rep mode.

I seen that adjustment.
I didn't know if that would fix what I am dealing with or not. I will toy with it next call out there
