konica 350 that was fine when they left on friday and today it turns on and goes to ready and you can make copies but 10 seconds after making copies abort message comes up, says code 0x0000999 for about 20 seconds then resets itself and you can copy again. it also happens about every minute it sits there unused. goes to abort then resets. never had this happen before, any ideas thanks

Well, if that code fits between 0x00000000 and 0x000fffff or something, then it points to the MFBS board. Thats straight out of the service manual. OS processing system failure.

Probably the problem is in the MFB but 1st try to reinstall the firmware

Let it reboot without the network cable plugged in. If it's fine then you have a corrupt print job repeatedly trying to get through. It's usually Google Maps for some reason. Track down which workstation or server and clear the queue.

I had a bizhub 364e recently that would turn Off and On at 30 second intervals, that turned out to be a hard drive. =^..^=

I have found that reseating the MFPB the ram and the NVram sometimes fix this problem. Disable the and unplug the fax card helped before.

This can also happen if they have the port in their driver set to LPR instead of RAW. Just something to check to keep it from coming back in the future.

Same happened to me last year. After doing all steps ( reseting mem boards, fax, machine...) machine worked like charm but when I plug network cable, it hits abort code almost instant...Now imagine argument between me and It guy who blamed machine....

There is actually a special firmware for this model and the series above it that helps sometimes with the issue. I have even done this firmware flash and it would then allow the job causing the issue to finally print out.

The change log says that it is for issue when printing from Google maps site but it helps with other causes.

There are other situations that this firmware doesn't help with for example using the wrong print driver or when using Macs 😂

For 200/250/350 series it is 4040-0100-H3U-80-002

For 222/282/362 series it is A11U-0100-H12-08-002
