hello....can anyone help me here?I have a prob with the konica minolta 8020.it keep prompting the C0400 code.:confused:

That code is for a failed PWB-B in the scanner. I do not have the service manual here at home. I will look it up when I get to work and try to post more info as soon as I can.

:)the servicemanual says "C0400: Exposure Lamp’s failure to turn ON"

morning guys....i have tried changing the scanner assy and PWB-C but the same code still appears.according to the service manual,after changing the new PWB-C board, the machine firmware need to be updated, but i can't get my hand on the firmware anyware.

p/s : the scanner lamp still fail to TURN ON after changing a new one.

i have all firmware's, verisonnr? language?. do you know how to add new firmware?

I can't confirm you the firmware version as I can't go in to the service mode.But I do know that the previous firmware language was English and it's upgraded through compact flash card....Do appreciate if you could give all the firmware for this 8020....

Have you tryed just to reset the code?Im not very much experienced with copiers but for my entire expirience with more than 70 machines i never had a problem that requires change of a PW* board Oo and the machines i service can't say that they are new :D most of them over 1 mil copies.Most of the problems are mechanical and not electrical or firmware issues...

Try to reverse the serial cable that connects the scaner to the lamp it solves the problem.
