I'm new to Konica Minolta equipment and have found the 224/284 machines great. I have a few 224's which have been in now for 12 months or more and we've never had a breakdown call, we've been there for toner and toner waste but nothing else.

My question is, do we go in and give it once over or do we leave it run?

It never hurts to pop in and check on the machines once in a while. just not too often or the customers will think you are expecting the machines to fail.

Yes I agree with you and we have been in to see the customers with toner etc. My question is more whether you guys who are experienced with these machines is whether we go onsite and clean and service them or just leave them to run unattended?

My philosophy on this is that you probably won't anticipate the one thing that they call on, so it's best to let them call for service. That way they can specify the thing they want attended to. I think you'll find that 3/4 of your service calls are on avoidable situations, you just won't know which avoidable situations to anticipate. =^..^=
