Hi Copytechs,
we have a customer with a C253 and his machine had a laser error.
We did error reset but it didnt help.
Changing his laser units were no option for him because it was to expensive, so we tried a last factory reset (Initialize all data) and his error is gone since that. But after removing the error, the "Fax/Scan" button has become useless. You only hear a beep sound when pressing that button.
The adress book has completely gone in the menu and web interface.
We again tried a factory reset but the option is still deactivated.
Is there any hint I missed?
Is there a way to activated it again in the service menu?

Okay I found out (http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/konica-minolta/101361-bizhub-c-253-scan-fax-button-not-working.html) it could be the HDD option in the service menu which is deactivated after factory reset.
It seems like without the HDD activated the scan button does not work, can anyone confirm that?
Because I have to drive to the customer to activate it again, I just want to be sure.
Edit2: Problem solved, as it was the HDD in the service mode,
which deactivated itself after doing the factory reset.
Now the scan button is working again!
