It only becomes slow when the users are scanning all the time. If usage is kept low, and OCR is not the default scan setting it works pretty well. It's a very good low cost alternative to Adobe Acrobat, or some other scanning solution. I would also recommend Scan Path as a low cost app in place of the LKs. Emujo

And, FYI, the LK-105 allows searchable PDF formats, the other LKs (106, 107, 108) allow Barcode, Unicode and OCR type A/B printing. There is also a LK 102 that supports advanced PDF encryption and PDF linearization. The LK 110 combines the LK 105/102 and also offers support for OOXML giving you additional formats like docx, xlxs, searchable Power Point, fax forward as searchable PDF, and box data conversion into compact PDF. Fun stuff. Emujo

ok we got it.. it was a total pain in the ass.. I was unaware or shocked rather when we paid 460 cost for the kit. 100 for the memory upgrade . and it was only a token kit that came in the form of numbers in an email
and the other licenses were found from the lms website.. I had help or I couldn't have gotten it. a guy would have to be a genius to figure this out

thank you guys for the help.. I may be getting too old for this lol
