It means traveling with Subway within the NYC area and where subway train can get you to / a company car when needed, and yes, sometimes with a bus but rarely....

The subway and busses. "Walking techs" are what you have to do in places like Chicago and NY. Dealers will rent mailbox space in a certain skyscrapers to have parts shipped.

Part of me thinks that would be cool, pretty much get paid to meander around. But also I think it would be a great big hassle without a true carstock.

we make sure our tech have the parts waiting for them onsite at the customer's location, parts that are big and hard to carry will be at the customer location, small parts are sometimes required to carry....

as someone who has done both, subway and walking and driving my parts vehicle to and from,it gets old quick.
parking for commercial vehicles is a PAIN in manhattan and pricey now.Subways are much better than 10 years ago when 1/3 had working ac.
the best part of the job is the people watching you get to do especially once it warms up.

It would probably be more productive if you sent them a private message requesting that information.
On the other hand, this is a pretty old offering. There's a very good chance the position has already been filled.
