Hello!
We are using a C220 in a mixed network with Linux and Windows desktops and have configured several Samba shares on these machines as scanning targets. This works perfect, as long as these desktops are up. In order to have the C220 as a completely independent scanning device, it would be preferable for the users to scan to a 'Box' – i.e. store the scanned files on the internal HDD of the C220 – which is seen as a Samba share in the LAN and can be mounted on the the several desktops.
Is anything like this possible? If not via SMB: maybe another protocol?
Thanks for any advice!
