I changed the PC drum on the 2010 and need to reset the message that appears. I think that you do this in rep mode, but am not sure. Anyone know how this is done?

Tech rep- counter mode-PM- clear "PC Life"(highlight and hit clear on the keypad)........ rebuild the IU- F-8 and if the PC drum light indication doesn't go out, unplug the beast from the wall for at least a minute, plug it back in and you should be good to go!............... One of the things that sort of pisses me off is the fact that the 2010 through the 3510 all use the same stuff, yet the 2010 has a 60k PM cycle and the faster machines have a 100 or 110k PM cycle. You can probably clean the machine up, reset and go or if its a chargeable call do the full PM and make some $$$$$!;)

On that class of machines, I will get between 180,000 and 210,000 before I actually have to change one for poor print quality. They even siad in class that the developer should do double life.

Thanks so much! This was very helpful. Do you have a maintance manual on this "beast" so I can keep it running in good shape?

to go to tech rep mode you hit utility then meter count(some you have to enter 00000000 in the next step if there is one) then stop 0 stop,0,0,1 then go to counters, then PM counters and clear the drum counter, developer counter and the dv counter. I think they are the first counters of the PM counters. Then exit out, back to the main screen and then turn it off. Good Luck
