Hi Friends,
i got a new problem with customer

After updating their macs to El Capitan,
lots of trouble in using of account printing appears.
They have the build in account activated for seperate the costs for the internal departements.
Some of the applications can activate account with Accountname/PW, others not.
In printerdriver via application or in Cups with Administration/default settings
are only Account Yes or Not visible, no fields for the name or password.

If account is disabled anything works fine, but this is not acceptable by customer.

On same MAC ive got in print dialog sometimes the "Fiery-Options", where i can set anything fine,
and in simple programs like Mail only "Printer settings", i cant reach the part
to input accountname and/or password.

If someone has a hint for me, i will spend a virtuall beer.

greetings peter

did you try the fiery driver remover first if the printer existed before the upgrade?

1) Unzip the downloaded file "ic414_ps_macosx1011_v50_efigs_inst.zip" on to the desktop.
2) Mount the KM_IC414_v1_2R_FD50_v1.dmg file on the desktop.
3) If the previous version of the driver was installed on the system, click on Fiery Software Uninstaller to remove the
existing driver component and printer object.
4) Select Fiery Printer Driver folder and double click on Fiery Printer Driver.pkg file.
5) Follow the instructions in the wizard to complete the installation.
6) Navigate to System Preferences and install the printer with the Printer & Scan.
and my personal recommendation, use LPR/LPD with Print as the Queue name.

Can you expand the driver settings in email? (Arrow down)

Or

As Synthohol suggested plus create a preset in applicaton that has the option to put User & Password in. Then use it accross all apps as default.
