Hi ,

i have got this error after i changed the transfer belt with a new one ,

i installed the old one back and after opening and closing the front door the error disappears ,

i noticed that the old transfer belt is different from the new one as you can see in the images

the old one :

32916 32915

the new one :
3291732918

i thought of removing those clutches of the old transfer belt and put them in the new one but i want to ask for an advice first or any suggestions about this problem

thank you very much

Your new ITB is for the black and white model part #A61DR70000 ( Bizhub 454e).

You have to order a proper ITB for the color model Part # A161R71300 (Bizhub C454e).

If you stuck you can try to transfer the belt over to the old one. It is not too bad to transfer, you can remove the pressure spring so the frame assembly can bent a bit then you can remove the belt.

General, dumb question: Why does a B&W unit need/use a transfer belt?

The Color models came out first...and rather than redesign a new engine they just pulled out the color drums and devs.

The transfer belt also protects the drum and even the dev will last longer. Its a great thing.

That's interesting. I can see why it protects the drum (though, at the cost of a belt, the merits of that trade-off are not clear to me), but how does the dev last longer?

Less paper dust fiber, hair... that goes in there.
So not really the dev but more the entire unit.

Take a C360 drum and dev tank compared to a B363 drum and tank.
The C360 K drum can do up to 350K if the charge is kept clean.
The B363 drum will do about 250K max.
