Found something strange when doing network install.* This is the second time.

I noticed the MFP Controller version is: A7PU0Y0-0100-G00-A7

Function level is: 2.2

I can’t find this firmware anywhere on KM site.* I don’t know where it came from, if someone installed it or it came with it from factory

Also I notice in both cases on the menu is main menu key option for Address Book right above the Utility button.

Problem is with this firmware/function level some things don’t work right.

The driver install utility will not detect this model and it says it is not compatible with manual IP entry of the driver application.

It does print if installing the driver manually, but the obtain settings will not detect at all.

Things like user authentication won’t work right because the encryption key is not decrypting properly at the copier.

Latest base firmware is G00-84 and highest function level is 2.1.* So I installed this base firmware and set switch 25 from hex 30 to hex 20* and after that everything will work correctly.

You will find that the “Address Book” main menu key is now blank(missing text).* Have to go into admin settings to turn that slot off.

Anybody know what this is?

G00-A7 was released as countermeasure fw for the C-D011/D050 problem, if you set the machine the function ver 2.2 you need to upgrade the drivers to ver 4.x.

I was under the impression that the firmware that prevents those issues was A7PU0Y0-F000-GXX-B0 which just flashes the sata controller version as I understood it and the one to recover is A7PU0Y0-F000-GXX-A8.

I don't see an G00-A7 anywhere in base firmware or special firmware downloads.

Also there isn't a version 4.x driver available for download. Still using the latest available version 3.1.4.0 driver. Where do you see a version 4.x driver?

Keep in mind, I'm in the US.

G00-A7 was a temporary solution before the release of GXX-B0. The 4.x drivers are available at the European KM site.

Thanks for the info. Just strange we get a couple copiers with this firmware when this driver is not released on the US site.

Thanks to you, I was able to get the firmware.
Is the GXX-B0,GXX-A8 firmware not necessary?
Will the G00-X4 firmware alone solve it?

Were you able to get a hold of the A7PU0Y0-F000-G00-X4 firmware?

I need this same firmware and can't find it anywhere. Our printer is broken without it, and we're a small charity organization which can't hire a professional technician. Any chance you still have the file or a link and could share it with me?

I'd suggest you start your own thread, and then tell us what the problem is. While firmware can be a wonderful thing, and is useful for fixing some pretty unusual problems, it is also rare when it is absolutely necessary to make a machine functional. I'd bet that your problem can be fixed without it.

Hello Synthohol, the G00-X4 is still the latest?

there was gcc-x4, gcd-x4, and now gcf-x4.
imho if you dont have any issues the g00-x4 works just fine.

I'm thinking to update it tomorrow. The machine is working fine now, I'm considering just to keep it up to date.
Or, what do you think? Leave it as is?
