We have a few of these in our office, but I have not been a production tech until now really. One is up to 2.5 million prints. It is still running but it sure has its fair share of problems. Just curious. Thanks!

We used to have dozens of them in print shops but they are discontinued and 90% replaced with 1070s but if you use OEM parts and toner and pm kits every 100 and 200k religiously we had a few with 4-6 million and still ran halfway decent. One made it to 9 million. Biggest help was NOT setting it to single click for 11x17 as far as the machine was concerned. Billing was done off the "large paper" count mostly so when these places hit 200k it was a REAL 200k not 400 as the single click would register.

just my .02 on the matter, YMMV.

We had one in a print shop go somewhere just over 10 million.

It was set to single click for 11 x 17 as well.

In all fairness, it was always serviced by the same tech, who is definitely one of our sharpest.

It also helped that the customer was one of the best we have ever worked with, who always did just what was asked.

Hi, we have one and I'm strugglying to learn on it. You can see the post's.

One question: how do you set paper counting for big page ? "It was set to single click for 11 x 17 as well."

Large size paper counting method (other than
maintenance counter)
This switch is used to set count of large size paper
print as 1 or 2. It changes count method for other
than maintenance counter.
The related switches are DIPSW5-5, 8-6 and 10-3
through 4.
Default differs depending on the main body destination.

if they are well serviced.. they do last..
the last 2 in my area.. one was about 12mil and the other one just passed 11mil..

we kind of try to have them replaced after 5 years as technology evolves and customer demands for better kit all the times..

but for entry level they still do a decent job..
