C452 problem copying red originals.

I have a C452 that will print red fine, but when you try to make a copy on the platen, or run an original through the DF with red on it, the red comes out very faded and looks more orange than red. Copier has latest firmware, I have cleaned optics, run gradation adjustments, tried editing color settings in application modes, etc.

Could be that the consumables are close to or over the life limit?

Have you tried adjusting the original/quality settings? Text, Text/Photo, Map, etc.
