View Full Version : Cannot recognize the ID card reader

I have a 3500i (off-lease) that displays "Cannot recognize the ID card reader". It came to us without a card reader. I figured uninstalling the software would take care of the message. I called tech support and they told me the only way to remove the message is to purchase a card reader and attach it. Thought I would throw this out there in hopes that someone may have had this issue and found a work around.

There is no workaround, but you can get one off ebay relatively cheap, & hide it in the back cover.

U204 and set it to off (if i remember correctly).

Sorry Kyo fan, that doesn't work. Mine was already set to off. I tried enabling/disabling & it made no difference.

have you tried clearing U021 and U024?
