I have a C224e that will show a jam if you try to duplex. Paper never tries to "suck" back into machine (to flip over). It just shoots it all the way out and then shows a jam when it doesn't see it any more. Happens in copy and print. Rollers turn both ways when machine is turn on and its going through its initialization. Is there a flag or sensor I'm missing? HELP!!!

Is the paper actually being routed to the switchback/reverse rollers? Or is it coming out through the normal "paper exit" rollers beneath? It sounds like you are having a problem with the switchback/reverse gate and solenoid. If the paper is exiting through the lower path rather than the proper "reverse" path above, it is likely the reverse gate is the problem.

I think we had one similar where reg sensor wasn't working properly and machine thought paper was longer than it actually was. So the machine would try to eject it further but then not be able to bring it back. Changed reg sensor and then all good
