About yea high lol.

I just measured the 6 machines in the room with me, a couple of Sharps, A Konica Minolta, and A Ricoh.
They were between 43 - 48 to the top of the ADF.

For....? shipping, shelf storage, hobbits new garage plan...?

Floor or desktop model ?

Floor models will break down to around the same height as desk top models.

Surprisingly, I have to install new shelving soon so your question is quite relevant.

I'm looking to get a van and want one where a floor standing copier will go in standing up on top of the cabinet. We mainly do KM and they measure 1299mm or 49" high and I wondered if other manufacturers were the same height?

It depends if the machine is sold in Asia, since they are smaller people they make copier shorter .

Seriously all copiers are close to same height. Actually most people are concerned with the width to get through doors. Again most copier widths are the same around 28-30" so they can fit through smaller 32" door openings.

49" clearance should be fine, excepting machines with separate display screens. Often these are best removed for travel anyway. The last time I had this conversation about copier height I believe the answer was 41" to the copyboard glass. There for a while Kyocera was selling some of the A4 sized MFP printers with various odd combinations of boxy spacers to achieve the desired height between tray options and spacers. The salespeople would ask me if we absolutely had to have the useless spacer things. The answer is no, as long as that 41" height isn't critical. =^..^=
