Hi guys

Hope someone has got some good experience on this option.
Started getting jams on the stacker entrance jaming into a page that gets hooked on the offset bit.
I changed out all the recommended solenoids and did the the mechanical adjustment as per the manual.
That made things worse.

It would work and the fail intermittently and then fail and work intermittently.
On the same page count i now have 2 machines with the same problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

Problem with stacker jams is the machine thinks the job is ok and would not reprint the jammed up paper!

same paper source and brand that they used prior to both machine having the same issue?
just a bit coincidental to me.

Same old plain stock in use. I can see how the machine is offending the solenoids just don't function at times.

Its those 3 wire solenoids with the magnet. They push and pull.
The red wire would have 24V on and the yellow 0v and common on blue if the offset is disengaged and vice versa if it is in offset.

Yes the voltage is 24v spot on.
No i have to do firmware on these.
Thanks for the offer i do have access.

Seems like it could be a control issue.
Got it to fail consistently now.
Found the that the solenoid would fail during a job.
Replace it with 2 different new ones!

Beats me why...
Paper clip came to the rescue.

Could only be a power control issue.
Well this works.

So the spring is stretched to about twice the standard length? =^..^=

Yes about 1/3 more. Its not ok this way.
Not expecting this to continue working... who knows??

The assembly driven by the solenoid (SD2) moves freely and i cant find any fault with it.
If i do the output check for the solenoid it is way to weak.
Changed that solenoid twice for good measure.

Perhaps you've got another 24vdc component drawing too much current. With the accessory unplugged, I would read resistance between the 24vdc supply and frame ground. One by one, unplug connectors from the controller, noting the change in resistance. When you've unplugged all the 24vdc components resistance should be infinite.

Now look at your list. Which connectors cause the greatest change in resistance and what 24vdc components are on that connector. In that way you can narrow down a possible excessive load to the 24vdc circuit. With this method I identified an HVT which was drawing down the 24vdc, causing Add Toner indications. =^..^=

Well the modification works well.

Had a call on the same machine where the stacker jammed again.
Drove me nuts.
Turn out the be the paper pulling skew in the RU(relay unit).
Took 4 hours to figure that out.
Must have been low on blood sugar or something.
