updates are version specific, are you tring to cross platforms?

you misunderstand 3.0 and 3.0a are different. if you loaded 3.0 the 3.0a patches will not work.

ok
I understood that they are different.
Problem is that it doesn't load ANY patches.
Problem is to find updates.
Fiery try to connect to look for patches but gives this error.

Try using the updater that is done in the web browser, and use Internet Explorer. EFI mentioned something in the latest Tech Ticker about updates for those older controllers not working, and I think the recommendation is to use ie.

First of all, for successful update you need properly set Time Zone, current date and time - those controllers are little bit old and usually got weak mainboard batteries, so I'm using additional tool for automatic time setting: NetTime (http://nettime.sourceforge.net)
The second thing is, that controllers after software reinstallation have outdated SSL certificates, so they cannot connect with update servers (Error 10) to update those certificates - so you need to get and manually install patch FIT101063085.exe that contain current certificates.

Log into your controller through remote desktop, from the controller go to website: http://liveupdate.efi.com/WebUpdater/default.aspx?uv=004&sid=bad4942515853714db4cda2dce48491eEF778075.PPD - find, downlad and install above patch. Then reboot your controller, and try to run update, now should work.

For me it never worked, I can see only directory structure, can enter any of them, but there are no files inside (from my point of view).
