power off machine.
expand the firmware and put it in the root of the thumb drive.
install the thumb drive in the service usb port on back of machine.
turn on machine.
follow on screen prompts.
after this completes remove thumb drive and power cycle machine

next put animation movie file on thumb drive
put thumb drive in front usb port
go into service mode > system 2 (possible 1)
go to load data select animation
hit next (or ok) and wait and wait and wait some more.
when done remove thumb drive and exit service mode.

This is from my bad memory and some prompts may have changed.

Machine Off >> usb in service port >> machine ON >> wait until you get firmware update screen >> start or do nothing >> wait until all is updated >> SWITCH MACHINE OFF >> now unplug from service port

The rest as above.

Dear Mr Spock,
Thank you so much for your help.
I updated the firmware and it was successful.
However, for animation guides, I copy files into thumb drive (I have tested putting files both in Root or in folder) and go to service mode, under "system 2" I can find "Install Data" but there is no "Load Data". Also there is an empty space under "Install Data" button in button arrangements. and when I go to "Install Data" and choose "Movie" it says "File NG".
Do you have any idea what can I do?

Thanks again,

Are you using the USB port near the control panel?

Movie data file should begin with A5C1 for the C364e, if not you have the wrong file. Although you can load many movie data files onto 1 USB, I would recommend that in this case you ensure this is the only file. It must be an extracted file and on the root of the drive, no folders. If it still fails, you can insert the USB into any non-fax port, including the firmware update port. I have seen many of these that just would not take the movie file from the front USB port. Emujo

I have checked both service USB port and the one near the control panel.

Thanks for your answer,
When I extract the ZIP file, it creates a folder named "a5c1an" which contains another folder named "movie" in which there are more than 20000 *.DAT files and their names start with "ZEU_*".

I have inserted USB in both Service port and the USB port near control panel, once with the "movie" folder in root and once with files copied directly to the root. I have not checked it copying "a5c1an" folder.

also I can directly connect the copier's HDD to my PC and copy the files.
Just I need to know the correct folder structure.

Latest Update:

Dear guys,
Thanks a lot for your helps. It is done Now.
I had to copy the folder named "A5Cn1**" containing a *.tar file on the root of the USB flash.
Then in service mode on System 2 tab going into "Install Data" , pressing "Set" and then "Movie".

Thanks again,

Hi, Did you have to extract the .tar file first?

You don't extract tar files on konicas

So the tar file goes into the root directory of the USB drive?
