51-4 code. replaced developer unit and developer and dev motor assly but no luck. did an L detect and it popped a 0005 code after calibration (referencing the developer or main pcb) any other ideas appreciaqted. I know i'm missing something here. Thanks t

Check the ICPs on the "main" board (not the system board but the driver board. I've seen those blow causing motors to not function. Our guys keep a few on hand to solder in the field.

4.4 Network Section Status Indication

For the SCB (System control board), there are two orange and green status indicator LED’s. The table
below shows the status indicated by these two LED’s.
86-2, 86-3 FAX board error FAX Copying and printing remain
enabled.
86-6 FAX file initialization
abnormality
HDD Copying, printing (except a personal
letter) remain enabled.
86-7, 86-8 FL-102/FL-103 board
error
FL-102/FL-103 Copy, FAX (1 line) and printer
can be used.
87-2, 87-3 Printer board abnormalities
Printer Copying and faxing remain
enabled.

if you've tried changing all of the obvious i recommend updating the firmware. i had the same problem, changed the dev and dev tank which made no difference. my colleague went in, updated the firmware and the machine has been ok for a few months now

Probably control board, 51-4 points to the board and 0005 at l detect points to control board.

Id try the easy stuff first like making sure the dv motor turns...
