I have a problem with my Bizhub C252 copier. I want to configure direct e-mail scanning. To do so, I need to enter Network Settings menu and configure some options there. But I can't see Network Menu button (number 5) in the Administrator Menu. However, IP adress of the copier is set to static and I'm able to print via LAN. Does anyone know the solution?

Bulletin regarding this issue.

Problem
Network menu button is missing from Admin Mode.

Solution
CAUSE: Corrupt NVRAM and/or failed PWB-MFP.

SOLUTION: To correct:
1. Perform an "All Data Clear" under Service Mode g System 1 g Initialization.
2. If that does not work, perform the NVRAM Recovery Procedure (not available for all models).
Notes:
a. Before performing the NVRAM reset please perform a NIC RESET which is also located on the NVRAM reset firmware utility. This will likely solve the issue without having to completely initialize the machine. Please be sure to back up all network settings before performing this function. This only pertains to the models which have the NVRAM reset utility.

bizhub C451/C550/C650

bizhub C351/C450/C450P

b. Please wait approximately 10 minutes for the tabs to appear. Be patient; DO NOT power cycle the machine as that only restarts the wait process.
3. If the NVRAM Recovery Procedure is unsuccessful, replace the PWB-MFP,

Thanks for all proposed solutions. I'm unable to log in via browser, I can see only blank page.
The machine was also powered on for few hours, the tab didn't appear.
I will try to perform NIC reset.
If it won't work than I will have to perform whole iniialization procedure. However, for me this is the last posibble option, I don't want to calibrate everything once again.
Where exactly is the NIC reset option located in the Service Mode menu?
What about flashing new firmware, maybe it will solve the problem?

Re-read paragraf 2 a. It explains it where the NIC reset is. You will need NVRAM reset firmware which contains the NIC reset. When you load it it will give you two options on screen:

NIC

NVRAM RESET

you pick the one you need.

Good luck.

If you read the bulletin, it states to do the data clear first. A data clear does not initialize the NVRam. If data clear does not work, then do the NIC clear THEN if both of those don't work, do the MVRam initialize.
Before doing any of the above, back up the address book if possible.

Thank you for the replies (and patience :) ).
Now I understand almost everything except one thing. I assume that NVRam reset firmware is a file that I need to put on CF card and than run the copier, am I right? If so, the only problem is that I don't have an acces to NVRAM reset firmware for this machine, could you please send it to me, maybe using PM?
I will also be grateful for normal firmware file, so as to perform an update.
I don't want to start whole repair procedure without being fully prepared.
I'm sorry for (too) many questions but this is the first time I've had such an issue.

I'm sorry. I can't pass you the NVRAM firmware. And yes you are correct. Put it on flash card (I use 256MB) through utility Konica Imaging toolkit v2.54 I think is the latest)
So 3 things you need.
Someone already posyed the toolkit on here not a while ago.

Byting on bits.

Had this before. Before you reset anything, check that HDD is set to Installed in System 2 >HDD.

Ive had this occur on C252 as a result of a power outage

Cheers

Unfortunately, any of methods mentioned above (except NVRam reset) didn't work, the problem is still there. Thank you very much for sending me firmware file, I wil try to flash it on Monday, maybe it will work. My last request (I promise :) ), could you send me, if possible, NVRam reset firmware?

The C250 NVRAM reset firmware is the same as for a C252, so you can get it at the link I posted.

C250 firmware must be updated in the correct order or else you'll get that error. Install this earlier firmware to get your machine back up: https://www.dropbox.com/s/m23xclappqdeego/20051005_4038-F000-G00-43-000%2800%29_CHECKSUM-133A.EXE?dl=0
