well i have a good one for you all,
i was just went on a service call on one of my bizhub 600s for jamming (from a cold start only) out of tray 1 going about 2/3 into the vertical conv.
after you clear the jam it resumes the job and finishes just fine..no matter how many copies you select it will always stop right there on the first one
and continue, finish the job just fine after you clear the jam..

i'm fried on this one... and yes i replace the vertical unit with another one just to be safe..

any ideas.....:confused::confused:

Is it only tray 1 or does it happen with other trays also? So if you were to run 100 copies it would jam on first one then clear jam then it runs just fine after?

yea only tray 1 , tray 2 works fine..

and yes it doesn't matter if i run 5 copies or 100 , the first one from a cold start always jams right when entering the vertical conv., i clear it and it restarts the job and finishes beautiful..

weirdest problem i have ever encountered in my 20 yrs of being a tec. logically it makes no sense....:mad:

What jam code is showing up in the history?

Check the clutches that drive the vertical convyance and the clutch that drives the horizontal convyance tray above tray 2.

Tray 1 has a handful of ridiculous issues on this model. Easiest solution is to just set DIPsw 18-0 to 1 and tray 1 will never jam. ;-)
