Hello,

I have problem with my K-M BizHub C451. Everything going ok till first 50-60 (approx.) prints but later on it start to give shades on both BW and colors.

Also at white parts of image or empty pages it gives very light yellowish/reddish (in color prints) and greyish (in B&W prints) colors.

Do you have any idea of the reason?

Thanks in advance.

in service mode, test prints, gradation pattern c/m/y/k print them out, may help isolate the problem.

I would say the black imaging unit is shot.

So if we change this unit, will the problem be gone?

The black unit is bad. Replace that unit, do the color alignment, and gradation adjust. See what you've got from there.

Make sure to add something to the lever to push the K IU all the way in or buy the mod (there are many posts about this).
From the looks of it, the black IU is most likely spewing developer. If it is leaking dev, take it out to see if there is any developer on or around the IU (use a magnetic screwdriver to see if it clings--if it does its dev and not toner).
If this is the case you need to clean the IU cavity, as well as the Print Head and the yellow IU! When I see dev spew I personally also clean the IDC sensors and transfer belt.

Also, I am willing to bet your yellow IU is bad--destroyed by the dev.

Also:
Go in service mode > counter > life
Post the life of the IUs

(If it is spewing dev. you might also have a bad HV board.)

Do I take it you are a user rather than a technician ?

This is a typical user response. You are not a tech, are you?

Yea...you can try changing the IUs, but you probably need to get a tech out to fix the underlying issue.
