Good Morning All,

I have a OLD KM 282 at a small private school that I provide pro bona support from an IT perspective. I was trying to get this setup to scan to SMB and Email and in the process of trying to get it to work for Email I enabled TSL/SSL and generated a Certificate. That is when the copier started to respond first with the error that the certificate was wrong or invalid but the browser allow for the option to connect anyways - so I did - and now I get the error "405 Method Not Allowed"

Short of doing a factory reset on this unit - any advice on how to bypass this issue to get in and delete the certificate? if doing the factory reset is the answer can someone tell me how to go about doing that on the 282 - and what I then need to configure.

I also read about a "service code" that is 8 zeros, is this the same as the admin password ( from the web interface ) or a separate code?

Thanks for any guidance you can provide.

have a great weekend -

before you initialize anything, try a different browser, and ensure you are using https://IPADDRESS. The certificate that is installed is probably to weak for IE and Mozilla to verify. Emujo

Thanks for the hint - I have tried Google as well and they all prompt to still connect to the site - but all give the same error

I thought I responded to this already, but I do not see it

Thank you for your response - I have tried chrome as well - all browsers do flag the site as insecure - and allow for a bypass of the error and add an exception - I have done that with all of the browsers and the response is the same the 405 error.

This model does not support SMTP over SSL from what I remember. Even enabling the certificate does nothing. From what I remember to even enable SMTP authentication, some software switches has to be turned on first.

the MFP must support SMTP over SSL/TLS. The bizhub 200/250/350 and bizhub 222/282/362 series do not support this functionality.
