I bought a used bizhub C203 and upon startup, it is stuck at the hourglass. I replaced the Ram and no change. I'd like to try reloading the firmware. I think the latest is:C203 GRG-R6 C203_A02E0Y0-F000-GRG-R6.exeI'm not a dealer... help?

I prefer mass production version A02E0Y0-F000-G20-R6. Anyway this hourglass might be HDD, PCB... Try trouble reset procedure before any expensive repair.

If firmware does not work, try memory chip.

Turns out that the memory I used was defective. Now I am able to start the printer but it sticks on error C-D010. Hard drive unformatted. The touch screen locks up and I am not able to enter the service mode to format it?
Help?

Have you tried reflashing the firmware?

Try unhooking the hard drive and you should be able to get into service mode.

I bought this firmware: A02E0Y0-F000-GZ1-R6 I'm using a SanDisk 256 MB CF card, I wrote the firmware using The Konica Minolta Firmware Imaging Toolkit 2_53. I Tried disconnecting the hard drive and the printer never finished starting, stuck on Konica Minolta Logo. I appreciate any ideas / help

I tried the reset procedure and it stops at the KM logo as well.

Sounds like you've got an NVRAM problem.

Huge thanks, making progress... I was able to follow your instructions and reset the NVRAM, now it says: "serial number needs to be entered" "Contact service representative" - dont have a rep...

The instructions say to enter service mode either I am doing something wrong, or ?

I press Utility Counter key and it beeps, I press stop and it beeps, then i press 00 stop 01 and each time it beeps but the screen does not advance.

hold down utility when booting for service mode

Holding utility down during boot hangs on planets screen.

Swapped out main board, flashed firmware A02E0Y0-F000-GZ1-R6

and still hanging on "serial number needs to be entered" "Contact service representative"

Stop-0-0-stop-0-1 press them in same intervals of time and don't wait for beeps.

Wait for warning beeps to stop (initialization is finished) and than start with U/C-S-0-0-S-0-1.

I tried several more times, still not able to enter service mode. I'm beginning to think I have another problem. Maybe Failed NVRAM or? After the beeping stops, I try entering the key combination, the screen never changes, & non of the onscreen buttons respond & about 30 seconds after the initialization beeps stop, the printer is non- responsive. No buttons respond and even turning off the power button on the display does not respond.




Wait for warning beeps to stop (initialization is finished) and than start with U/C-S-0-0-S-0-1.
