brand new out of the box the machine will start to cycle then it will lock up konica had us change the fuser first off then the fuser drive continued with the same problem the they had us change the mfp board because the fuser stoped applying pressure now we get a code of 3101 or 3103 has anyone seen this it started right out of the box with this issue and no there isn't any packing material in it still. Any help will be highly appreciated

on previous models the fuser AND the IUs used the same ICP chip on the board. i wonder if they still do?
even though the code was for the fuser, we finally changed all 4 IUs and no more fuser codes. totally mind-blown.
hope yours is not so elusive.

bet its snagged wiring shorting to the chassis or rubbing on a motor

Procedure

1. Check the connector between M11-MFPB CN15EA for proper connection and correct as necessary.
2. Check the connector between the fusing unit-relay CN98, CN99, CN104-MFPB CN13E for proper connection and correct as necessary.
3. PS38 I/O check, sensor check
• Control signal: MFPB CN13E-12 (ON)
• Location of electrical component: 11-C
4. M11 operation check
• Control signal: MFPB CN15EA-5 to 8
• Location of electrical component: 6-C
5. Replace M11.
6. Replace the fusing unit.
7. Replace MFPB.

on the related connectors, reseat the wires into the saddles, to ensure contact between conductors and connector pins.
