intermittent jam at the reg roller. paper stops on right hand side with about 2 inches into machine. at one point it was registering a seperator jam now what is strange is that it does not register the jam at all in the jam counters under tech rep mode. anyone ever see this? Thanks

Check Registering sensors. and clean Registering roller, look if the registering clutch on rear is working properly may be you have to change it.
What is the counter of the machine?

Think your question has been answered "overthere" but for others: Clean the bushings of the reg and vertical transportation rollers cause they tend to gum up. Hans

if it doesnt register your jams then you must check your intelock switches on the left hand side by the fuser the plate that makes the switch normally bends inwards and as soon as the fuser starts drive the switch break.

This machine can have feed problems caused by the paper edges cutting nicks into the sensor flags (actuators), this causes bad timing of feed. Replace or rub down any actuators that are damaged. Also there was a few mods to increase return spring pressures and actuator shape changes.

Does this happen while running one sheet at a time? or multiple sheets? I have seen this series do this with a flaky exit door switch, the lower one. With multiple sheets, when the sheet hits the exit section, it puts enough force against the door to push it slightly, causing the sensor to break contact..
