    [CQ] KM Bizhub 222

I installed all new developer unit, drum unit and new developer. Ran f8 and all looked outstanding blacks ,great fill. 3 weeks later I'm getting still sharp copies but with a lot of background grey. they look like copies on grey paper. any ideas, main charge ,dv bias, drum ground. like I said drum and DV units are new any ideas, toner density??? Help

did you clear the counters for drum and dev before you ran the f8?? if not reset counters turn machine off then on to make sure they cleared then run f8.

But..... did you check that they had reset before the F8 ? They can be stubborn to clear.

Common for the solenoids in toner supply to stick and overtone as well.

No, I never went back to check. If they didn't reset, can I reset them now? then rerun the f8??? I wouldn't want to run the f8 if the developer is over toned. that would really screw it up If they didn't reset, and the parts are new,is that ok to try to reset again now?

You can ck counters and run f8 again. If it's overtoned you can try and detone but dev is cheap. But make sure they 0 out. Turn machine off then on with main sw go back in and make sure they 0 out

Since it's and old machine ck level history to see what toner ratio is. If it's high maybe the tone add drive assy. The solenoid foam goes bad and sticks. But you might be close to getting a 2557 code if it's too overtoned. Most of the time I have seen the hv cause light cq. But could be bad toner ESP if it's katun

Check the developer. If it is ok try to run 500 copies, this can solve the problem but be sure to use original toner.
