I have problem with 4 machines Bizhub C224e. Three machines shows 2% toner o magenta and one on black.I replaced sub hopper, developing DV 512K, rewrite another firmware and still the same.Can somone tell me where is problem? thx

Theres no chip on toner bottles for this machine so the toner readings are never really accurate, machine works out how much toner is left in the bottle by the amount of rotations it does.

If your customer changes the toner bottle prematurely, then it throws the reading off for the toner levels, machine wont stop running just because its reading at 2% so i wouldnt worry about it, the toner levels should reset themselves after a while.

I see this very often in our fleet management. Usually the cause is that the customer sees toner empty and just open + close the front cover/maybe shake the bottle a bit. C224 does not have intelligent toner chips so the machine guesses that the toner has been replaced and try to add toner. Sometimes - even with empty cartiges - the machine can recover from toner empty condition. In that case the toner level raises to 100%. Since the cartridge is still empty the DV unit will see toner empty soon and the remaining toner value suddenly drops from 100 down to 2%.

Other case I had was a squeezed wire causing a toner bottle motor not turning sometimes...

These all models are "e".I have got a lot of Bizhub C224,364 nothing problem, but "e" machines have nearly full toners and indicator is wrong.All counters are about 120K.Colors 40K.

ive seen that, i run halftone test patterns of each color with the bottle out until it runs out and calls for toner then when replaced the gauges go back to 100%

There is special firmware to reset the bar graph on the control panel. I have never used it because I have never seen it as a big deal, but I understand how some customers could complain about it.

All the same customer? This might occure if some genius replaces toner before toner end condition^^

I can find it for the non e machines, but can't seem to find it for the e series. You will likely find it if you have a closer look at the versions.

I know I'll get "side eye" looks for this but it's the customers behavior that needs adjusting not the copier IMHO.
