Hi,

We are looking to buy black and white machine. We hesitate between KM 1052 and KM 1100.
Also there is two type of machine in both of them. Press version and Pro version so what is the difference?
Main body and print engine are the same?

Which is best machine ? we print book, bill and also on 350g paper.
Thanks,

both machines are capable of 350gsm paper however it must be pulled from a PF cabinet.

Specs:

BH1250/1052
40 to 350 g/m2 (Only available for middle tray of PF-703 and PF-706)

BH1100

40 to 350 gsm (Only available for middle tray of PF-709)

Keep in mind that 350 gsm is the heaviest possible media. It's fully possible that neither machine will feed this media consistently. If it were me, I would do two things. I'd buy a couple of cases of this media and run it through the machine you desire before you buy it. If you have any success at all, then I would select a lighter weight media for the majority of the printing. =^..^=

Thinks for your quick reply.

Are there any difference between pro version and press version?
The version are the same?

Also which is more reliable? 1100 or 1052?
Thanks,

So we should by KM 1100 pro version because it's more cheaper than 1052.
In the offer price we received, main engine of 1052 press version is 30% more expensive than main engine of 1100 pro version.

Hi,

Finally we buy KM 1100 pro black machine with PF709 feeder.
But on light weight under 60g, machine jam and we can't print any sheet.
also we try to print on brown craft 55g, machine jam and no way to print on it.
The same issue on NCR carbonless paper weight 57g.

All jam occur betwen drum and fusion unit, paper don't go under fusing unit, it seem that drum electrostatic catch paper and make it jam.

Any idea to fix this issue, we try this paper on our C1085 and it work well no jam.

Thanks,

According to the brochure any of the trays claim to handle 40 gsm media ... but intuitively that's just ridiculous.
I can't imagine anything less than 60gsm feeding successfully. Did you try this or any other media before purchasing the machine? Have you increased separation pressure? What jam codes? =^..^=
