Hello All,

From the little bit of research I have done it seems like it is possible to setup "ID and Print" with a RFID Card Reader and no additional software. So a users card gets registered to his ID so that when he walks up to a device he just needs to scan his card to get access to his jobs.

I know about these settings below...
Authentication is set to "On MFP"
Turn On "ID and Print"

I have looked for a bit more of a detailed setup but can't find anything, can anyone assist?

Thanks!

Enable and config user authentication on copier

Set output method in driver to ID & Print with same credentials

Thats assuming you didnt know how to set it up. If you already knew im sorry.

Thanks @rrrohan

I Wasn't 100% sure but thanks.

I was also looking for confirmation that the it will work in the current config and that you do not require any additional options?

Cheers

IF Ysoft server & card reader is installed, u just need to register the compatible ID card to the respective users on the Ysoft server.

So there isn't any Y-Soft in the mix, its just the Y-Soft Card Reader, and hoping to use the local authentication on the MFP combined with "ID and Print"

Is the card reader installed?

If not you need the driver and to enable it as the authentication device

Unless you enable it in service mode you wont get the option when setting up user authentication to work with id and print
