A tech asked me where the (Vendor or Vender) connecter is on a C654e is. I thought all of the e series was CN42. He tells me that is not the same for this model (C654e) If anyone has a service manual handy, could you search it for vendor and vender (Konica Minolta spells it differently on the wiring diagram) and let me know the connector number and and possibly an approximate location.

Thanks for your help

On the smaller "e" series, there are two coinop connectors. There's CN42 on the PRCB and the 4 pin connector that dead ends up by the scanner left frame. =^..^=

Thanks for the reply.
I did tell the tech CN42 but he claims the c654e does not have it. He said he'd looked at a c554e and was able to locate CN42.

I know it has to be an 8 position connector so would that be CN30? 35779

The word from Konica Minolta is the connector is well hidden but it is CN-42. They said you have to remove the foil sheath to get to the HDD and CN-42 is under there. They didn't say specifically what board it was but the photo Konica Minolta sent me does not seem to match the connector layout the tech sent me.

Follow CN33 on the PRCB to CN381.

Thanks Blackcat!!!. This appears to be the correct information. I went back to Konica Minolta asking if they could explain why the information they'd sent me was so different. It seems it was a hastily read email regarding the copier model. He thought it was a c554e.

To sum up for anyone else that stumbles across this thread.
The vendor II connecter for a c654e/c754e is CN 33 (PRCB) or CN 381 (harness). Our cable has a socket to pin adaptor on it to allow it to connect directly to the board or to the harness so either connector will work. In the past the harness connector is just below the doc feeder near the right hinge (as facing the rear from the copier). Some have been nearer to the left hinge. It was usually a bundle of purple wires with an 8 position socket connector on the end. This is likely where CN -381 is on a c654e/c754e.

The c554e vendor II connector is CN 42 (PRCB) and is hidden behind the HDD.

The C454e vendor II connector is CN 42 (PRCB) and is in the lower left corner of the board.

Your welcome! I may not have found it if I had not tried both spellings: vendor/vender.
