I havea c458 with a IC-416 Fiery on it. When I set it up to print through the Fiery with command Workstation, the fold and staple features are grayed out. If you click to try anything you get a popup message that says " no finisher installed". If you open the printers folder, look at the printer properties for the Fiery under installed options, it says the finisher and saddle unit are there. Even on the Command workstation screen it list those parts as installed. The engine and Fiery are both running the latest Firmware and software programs. What am I missing? I even removed and reinstalled the printer to no avail! If you print from any regular screen, you can half fold and tri-fold but, just not through Command Workstation.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Is it setup correctly? Standatd tcpip then use LPR port 515 Print as the queue name?
Is 2 way communication enabled?

2 way is enabled but, I cannot recall if I set up LPR. Would that make the difference in Command Workstation only? Forgive me but, I went through Fiery training 3 years ago and have not really had to use it at all.

well LPR uses the queue name Print so it goes right in the queue in CWS, if using raw and 9100 honestly i cant predict the results other than ive solved many issues by using the right port.
got nothin to lose by trying?
hey what version CWS? maybe an upgrade is in order? 5.8 is the newest.

Under the installable options tab in printer properties does it show the finisher as being installed? You should be able to tell it there what options it has. Then click on update driver in the next tab over. Ran into this today actually with a 3 hole punch.
