Hey,

I have a problem with ep 4000. Have plenty of time on these machines and this is the first time I've run into an M3 code. I reset memory and initialized the unit. went thru all the prescribed input to bring machine back after ram clear.

What is an M3 Code and what should i do?

Normally, no M3 Code for EP-4000.

It might be a power surge problem at the machine location or the power board had gone bad. If it is the case, ram board will be corrupted and gives some abnormal code.

Have you emptied and reset the counter for the collection bottle? My memory is failing me, so I don't remember if that's an M2 or M3 code. I know the di520/620 would throw an M5 when the pm was due, have you tried reseting the consumable counters and running f5?
