I am getting a 36-04 error code that won't go away. I know what the error is.. it is a Fixing Hardware high temperature abnormality. Temperature sensor TH4 detected abnormal temperature continuously for specified time.
1) I replaced the temperature sensor TH4
2) Replaced the Thermistor
3) Reset the error code in 25 mode

still have the error...
4) Had HYTEC (certified board repair people) check the Printer Control Board -- it's fine
5) Double checked the power. Had only 205 instead of 220 so I'm using a line conditioner because there is only 205 at the electrical box. The line conditioner has boosted me to 240 V (15 amp) which is supposed to be within the 8050's limits.

I'm going to double check all my electrical & board connections. Help please.

Do the lamps turn on/off when tested w/47-mode? Maybe check AC driver board? Outline from manual says lamps are turned on/off by ACDB. Also, does machine go to code from turn on, or does it try warmup first?

Check the adu rail screws to see if they are loose and causing a poor connection of the fuser, did you replace or check the thermostat?

after replacing the parts you have to reset the code by going to the 25 mode or adjustments mode and change the dipswitch 3-1 to "0" off.

Does it clear and come back, or does it never clear?

Yes, ding, ding, ding.. the damn code would NEVER clear. I should'a thought of that.

It is fixed now and I ended up replacing the CVDB. Workin' like a dream.

Thanks for your help.
