Hi ,
Scaning to FTP in a local network fails because of "server connection error". The OS is Windows 7 and WORKGROUP network type ,without DNS setting.just ipv4 address , subnet mask & default gateway which is modem router's IP address.
I install FTP in the main unit which counts as server and host.in the MFP side ,there are some settings which is not clear that should be set or not:
- FTP TX setting : seems to set when using proxy server ,but if disabled ,ftp option omits from panel in scan direct input page! so what ip address should be entered here?
- is it necessary to enable DNS server for ftp in such environment ?
- on the client side system, which ftp installed & acts as server or Host ,what settings should be configured ?
ping test is ok ,even SMB scan send to the shared folder , but ftp has problem connecting to server .
so , if sb could explain the procedure and define windows configuration for ftp connection or put proper manual in this regard , that would be fine.
Thank you
